Trauma-Informed Resilience-Oriented Schools Learning Community
In this National Center for School Safety Learning Community, moderated in partnership with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, participants will come together to learn more about Trauma-Informed, Resilience-Oriented (TR) Schools, engage in meaningful peer-to-peer learning and share their own successes, barriers, and skill-building capacity as related to the implementation and expansion of trauma-informed, resilience-oriented practices in their schools and school districts.
Over the course of four sessions, subject experts will cover topics including creating a safe and secure environment for students and staff, developing diverse and inclusive hiring and human resource processes, addressing educational disparities in the classroom, and addressing challenging behaviors in the classroom. Participants will also have the opportunity to submit their school or school district for a case presentation and discuss their successes and challenges with TR Schools as a group.
Additional information about the learning community can be found in the Trauma-Informed, Resilience-Oriented (TR) Schools Learning Community Charter.
