First Steps for Engaging Your School Safety Network Workshop

This workshop has been adapted into a self-paced training.

Partnering with and getting buy-in from a wide variety of people within your school community is key to successfully implementing safety initiatives. In the beginning, it can be a challenge to identify and engage your network. 

In this interactive 90-minute workshop, STOP/COPS grantees* were provided tools to identify and strategically prioritize how to engage with everyone in their school safety network. Participants also learned key terms related to influencing their networks and completed a hands-on group activity to improve how they strategically engage those they team up with.

This workshop took place 1:30-3:00 PM ET on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

* All school safety teams with members from a variety of roles were welcome to apply, but preference was given to STOP/COPS grantees.
