About This Training
In this training, presenters Dr. Ron Avi Astor and Dr. Rami Benbenishty discuss a ground-up approach to school safety through using surveys and mapping, facilitating community conversations, and leveraging that input to address local needs. Participants will learn the value of this approach, create survey and mapping tools, and use feedback to assess and refine their safety initiatives.

- Describe the value of a “ground-up” approach in developing effective school safety strategies.
- Explain the importance of creating surveys and maps that address one the of various groups.
- Leverage school and community input to identify local needs to address capacity and organizational challenges.
- Use collective feedback from the school and community to assess and refine the effectiveness of safety initiatives.
