Navigating Comprehensive School Safety in Michigan is a self-paced course designed to help school leaders, educators, and safety professionals create safer, more supportive learning environments. Built around a model of comprehensive school safety, the course guides participants through evidence-based strategies that address the interconnected components of school safety, such as social climate, physical security, and proactive prevention.
Through six interactive modules, participants will explore how to build strong school communities, identify and address potential safety concerns before they escalate, and measure the effectiveness of safety initiatives. Learners will engage in reflections, activities, and knowledge checks to deepen understanding and apply concepts to their own school settings.
Participants will also gain access to free resources and expert assistance to support the implementation and evaluation of best practices. Whether you’re a school leader, educator, or safety professional, this course provides the knowledge and tools needed to foster a safe, supportive, and thriving school environment.
